Orange Cake
Ingredients

- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
- 1.25CupSugar
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Orange Zest
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil
- 2.5CupFlour
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
- 1Cuporange juice

Whisk the eggs with the vanilla in a bowl until the mixture doubles in volume.

Add the sugar mixed with the orange zest to the egg mixture and mix well.

Add the vegetable oil and continue mixing until the mixture is smooth.

Add the flour and baking powder alternately with the fresh orange juice, starting with the flour then the juice until all the quantities are incorporated.

Prepare the cake pan by greasing it well, then pour the cake batter into it.

Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.

Let the cake cool slightly after baking, then flip it onto a serving plate.

Tips: Rubbing the orange zest with the sugar enhances the orange flavor and releases the oils. Make sure the cake batter is evenly spread in the pan for uniform baking.
