- 2CupCoarse Bulgur
- 2CupCooked chickpeas

We boil the whole chicken in a pot with water, salt, and any preferred spices until fully cooked.

We add the oil to another pot over the heat.

We add the vermicelli to the hot oil.

We stir the vermicelli until it turns golden.

We add the washed bulgur to the toasted vermicelli.

We add the boiled chickpeas to the pot.

We add the salt and mix all the ingredients well.

We add the chicken boiling water to the pot.

We cover the pot and leave it on high heat until the bulgur starts absorbing the liquid.

In another pot, we place parchment paper at the bottom.

We drizzle a little oil over the parchment paper.

We place the boiled chicken at the bottom of the pot over the oil.

We add the cooked bulgur on top of the chicken.

We leave the pot on low heat for 30 minutes until the bulgur steams well and the chicken browns from the bottom.

We flip the pot onto a serving plate to achieve the traditional madfoon shape.
