- 1.5CupGranulated sugar
- 4Psc.eggs
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Vegetable oil
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla Extract
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Buttermilk
- 3Tablespoons (tbsp)Unsweetened cocoa
- 150CupSemi-sweet chocolate
- 0.25CupFull cream milk
- 115CupChocolate
Steps
- 1
We start by preheating the oven to 180°C and greasing the baking pan well with softened butter or lining it with baking paper.
- 2
We sift the flour, baking powder, and salt and set them aside.
- 3
In a large bowl, we add the butter and beat it with a hand mixer until light and fluffy, then gradually add the sugar and continue beating for at least 5 minutes.
- 4
We add the tablespoon of oil, then gradually add the eggs, beating well after each egg until fully mixed.
- 5
We begin adding the dry ingredients alternately with the milk, starting with the dry ingredients and finishing with them.
- 6
We avoid over-mixing the batter, and for the last two additions of flour and milk, it's best to mix using a spatula.
- 7
We divide the batter into two parts. To one part, we add the sifted cocoa powder, followed by the melted chocolate, and gently fold it in.
- 8
We start filling the baking pan with the vanilla and chocolate mixtures and create a marbled effect using a butter knife.
- 9
We bake for almost one hour
- 10
For the sauce, we heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and milk in a small saucepan until the butter melts and the milk is hot, then we add the chopped chocolate and cover the saucepan for a few minutes.
- 11
We uncover the pan and whisk well until we get a smooth, glossy chocolate sauce
