Steps

    In a large bowl, mix the flour with salt, powdered milk, cornstarch, ground cardamom, sugar, and yeast.

    In another bowl, dissolve a pinch of saffron in warm water and let it sit for a short while. Then gradually add the saffron to the mixture, stirring well.

    Mix well until a smooth dough forms. If the dough is sticky, you can add a little flour.

    Cover the bowl with a lid or a clean towel and let the dough sit in a warm place until it doubles in size.

    Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Using a teaspoon, take small amounts of dough and place them in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on all sides.

    Serve them with date syrup and a sprinkle of white sesame seeds on top.
