  • 2Kilograms (kg)Small Cucumber
  • 2.5Cupwater
  • 2.5Tablespoons (tbsp)Coarse salt
  • 2.5CupSugar
  • 3ClovesGarlic

    Arrange the baby cucumbers neatly inside the glass jar

    Fill the jar with water until the cucumbers are completely covered.

    Pour the water into another bowl to measure the amount needed.

    For each cup of water, add one tablespoon of coarse salt and one teaspoon of sugar.

    Add three garlic cloves to the mixture and stir until the salt and sugar are completely dissolved.

    Pour the mixture back over the cucumbers in the jar until they are fully submerged.

    Seal the jar tightly and leave it in a sunny spot for 4 to 7 days until the cucumbers ferment and are ready to eat.

    Tips Shake the jar once daily to evenly distribute the flavors. Taste after the fourth day to check the saltiness and pickling level. Once ready, store the pickles in a cool place or in the refrigerator to keep them crisp.
