Ingredients

  • 0.75CupFine semolina
  • 0.25CupSugar
  • 2Tablespoons (tbsp)Blossom water
  • 5Teaspoons (tsp)Mastic
  • 1CupThick cream
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Ground Pistachios
  • 0.5To TasteSyrup

Steps

    In a pot, combine the milk, sugar, and semolina while cold.

    Grind the mastic with 1 tsp sugar until powdery, then add to the mixture.

    Place the pot over medium heat and stir continuously until the mixture thickens.

    Turn off the heat and stir in the orange blossom water.

    Pour the mixture into a serving dish, let it cool slightly, then refrigerate until fully chilled.

    Spread a layer of qishta or cream on top of the dessert.

    Garnish with crushed pistachios and serve with cold sugar syrup.
