  • 1CupHot Milk

  • 1.25CupBrown sugar
  • 1.25CupFlour
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
  • 130Grams (g) Butter
  • 2PinchSalt
  • 1CupLiquid cream
  • 1CupPecan

Steps

    Soak the pitted dates in hot milk with baking soda for 10–15 minutes, then blend until smooth.

    Add eggs and vanilla, then mix well.

    Add brown sugar and soft butter, and mix until combined.

    Sift in the flour and baking powder, then mix until smooth.

    Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 180°C until fully cooked.

    For the toffee sauce, melt brown sugar, butter, cream, vanilla, and salt in a pot until smooth.

    Pour the warm toffee sauce over the baked cake and garnish with pecans.
