Crunchy Baklava & Muhallabia

- 3Tablespoons (tbsp)Starch
- 3CupSugar
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Rose water
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Pistachio sauce

Prepare the Baklava: We place the baklava dough layers on a baking sheet.

Brush the Baklava: We brush the baklava sheets with melted butter using a pastry brush.

Bake the Baklava: We bake the baklava in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown and crunchy.

Prepare the Muhallabia: In a small saucepan, we combine the milk, starch, sugar, and rose water.We whisk the mixture until smooth and cook it over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens.

Crumble the Baklava: We crumble the baked baklava into small pieces in a bowl.

We pour the muhallabia over the crumbled baklava while it is still warm.

We use a piping bag to pipe the pistachio filling over the muhallabia.

We repeat the two steps again.

We add additional crumbled baklava on top to enhance the crunch.

We sprinkle chopped pistachios over the top.
