Ingredients

  • 500Kilograms (kg)Beef Steak
  • 2Grams (g) Shallot onion
  • 1Grams (g) Mushroom
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Capers
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Dijon mustard
  • 250Milliliters (mL)Cooking Cream
  • 1PinchSalt
  • 1PinchCoarse black pepper
  • 1Grams (g) Butter
  • 1CupOlive oil

Steps

  1. 1

We take the steak out of the fridge until it reaches room temperature, then pat it dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

We heat a pan on high heat with a little olive oil, then sear the steak on both sides until golden brown (cooking time depends on thickness)

  3. 3

We remove the steak from the pan and set it aside.

  4. 4

In the same pan, we melt the butter.

  5. 5

We finely chop the shallots or onion, add them to the butter, and sauté until softened.

  6. 6

We add the sliced mushrooms and stir until lightly browned.

  7. 7

We add the capers and mustard, then mix.

  8. 8

We pour in the cream, add salt and black pepper, and cook over medium heat, stirring, until the sauce thickens

  9. 9

We return the steak to the sauce and let it cook for just 2 minutes to absorb the flavor without overcooking.
