Ingredients

  • 2Psc.eggs
  • 0.5CupSugar
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
  • 0.5CupOil
  • 1CupYogurt
  • 1CupMilk powder
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
  • 0.5CupFine coconut
  • 1.5CupSemolina
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Cream
  • 1To TasteSyrup
  • 3Teaspoons (tsp)Ground Pistachios

Steps

    Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla until pale.

    Add oil and yogurt, mix well.

    Add milk powder, baking powder, coconut, and semolina, fold gently.

    Grease the pan with ghee or tahini, pour in the mixture.

    Pipe cream in crisscross lines on top.

  6. 6

    Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes, use broiler last 5 minutes if needed.

    Pour cold syrup over hot basbousa.

  8. 8

    Garnish with pistachios and dried rose, cut and serve.
