Ingredients
- 1.5CupEvaporated milk
- 4CupSugar
- 1Psc.eggs
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
- 0.5CupOil
- 1Cupwater
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Cinnamon
- 4CupRoasted Milk powder
- 1PacketDates paste
- 1CupSemolina
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder

We blend all the liquid ingredients (vanilla, egg, sugar, oil, dates, water, cinnamon, and powdered milk) in a blender until well mixed.

In another bowl, we place 1 cup semolina and 1 tablespoon baking powder

We grease a baking pan with a little tahini and pour the mixture into it.

We bake it in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes.

We dissolve the milk with the sugar over low heat until it becomes warm, then we let it cool.

We pour the syrup over the hot basbousa while the syrup is cold. You can reduce the sugar in the syrup or omit it according to your preference.

You can sprinkle cinnamon on top and cut the basbousa into pieces, then garnish as desired

You can replace the milk syrup with regular sugar syrup if preferred.

Note: If you prefer a thicker basbousa, you can double the quantities.

We let the basbousa rest for 30 minutes before cutting it, then we garnish it as desired.
