Place a cup of warm milk in a bowl and dissolve a teaspoon of yeast in it.

Add 1.2 cups of flour to the milk, stirring well from bottom to top until a smooth consistency is achieved.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise for an hour.

Grease the luqaimat maker with oil on the inside and outside.

Heat the oil over medium heat in a wide frying pan.

Using the luqaimat maker, drop three luqaimat into the hot oil at a time.

Continuously stir the luqaimat until they are cooked and crispy.

Remove the luqaimat from the pan and place them in a fine-mesh strainer to drain excess oil.

Once the luqaimat have cooled, fry them again for extra crispiness.

Place the luqaimat in cold syrup and stir well to coat them thoroughly.

Drain the luqaimat from the syrup and place them on a serving plate. Garnish the luqaimat with crushed pistachios.
