Ingredients

  • 500Kilograms (kg)Chicken Breast
  • 5Tablespoons (tbsp)Soy sauce
  • 3CupSugar
  • 5Tablespoons (tbsp)Vinegar
  • 0.5Cupwater
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Grated ginger
  • 1ClovesMinced garlic
  • 2CupSweet chilli sauce
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Starch
  • 1PinchSesame

Steps

    We coat the chicken pieces with cornstarch and set them aside.

    We prepare the sauce by adding soy sauce, sugar, ginger, garlic, vinegar, water, and sweet chili sauce to a small saucepan

    We stir the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a boil, then turn off the heat and set it aside.

    We heat a wide skillet over high heat with a bit of oil, then add the chicken and sear it on both sides until golden brown.

    We pour the prepared sauce over the chicken in the skillet

    Reduce the heat, and let it simmer until the sauce thickens and clings to the chicken (about 5–7 minutes).

    We serve the chicken hot with white rice or noodles, optionally garnished with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
