- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Baking powder
- 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Baking soda
- 2.75CupWarm water
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Cream
- 1To TasteSyrup
- 1To TasteCrushed pistachios

Add flour, semolina, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda to a large bowl.

Add warm water and vanilla to the dry ingredients.

Mix thoroughly in a food processor, blender, or by hand until a smooth, liquid batter forms.

Cover the batter and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Heat a non-stick pan over high heat.

Pour a portion of the batter into the pan to form Qatayef at the desired size.

Remove Qatayef from the pan when bubbles appear on the surface and the bottom turns golden.

Place the cooked Qatayef on a kitchen towel or dry cloth to cool.

Fill Qatayef with cream or any preferred filling and close tightly.

Fry the filled Qatayef in hot, deep oil until golden brown.

Dip the fried Qatayef once into cold, thick syrup and remove immediately

Garnish Qatayef with ground pistachios and serve immediately.
