Ingredients

  • 2CupCoarse semolina
  • 2CupSugar
  • 8Cupwater
  • 2Tablespoons (tbsp)Blossom water
  • 1Tablespoons (tbsp)Red food coloring
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Yellow food coloring
  • 1CupCoconut

Steps

    We take 1 cup of semolina and add 1 cup of sugar and 4 cups of water. (We use the same cup for all measurements).

    We add one drop of gel food coloring and stir the ingredients on low heat until they thicken.

    When it thickens, we add two tablespoons of rose water.

    We spread the first layer in a Pyrex dish or the desired dish before it sets.

    We prepare the second layer in the same way, mixing semolina, sugar, and water, then we add red coloring to get a cool pink color. (After it thickens, we add rose water).

    We pour the second layer directly onto the first layer, then spread it quickly before it sets, and leave it in the fridge for at least 4 hours to cool. (Once it cools, we cut it and garnish it with coconut).
