Ingredients

  • 3Psc.Cucumber
  • 0.5Cupwater
  • 0.25Tablespoons (tbsp)White Vinegar
  • 2ClovesGarlic
  • 0.5Psc.lemon
  • 1Psc.Celery
  • 1PinchSalt
  • 1CupSugar

Steps

    Wash the cucumbers thoroughly, then boil them briefly in water for one minute to partially cook.

    Trim the ends of the cucumbers, then slice them lengthwise into thin strips.

    Place the cucumber slices in a small pot.

    Add ½ cup of water.

    Add ¼ cup of vinegar.

    Add 2 peeled garlic cloves.

    Add the juice of half a lemon.

    Add the chopped celery stalk.

    Add 1 teaspoon of salt.

    Add 1 teaspoon of sugar.

    Mix all the ingredients well until combined.

    Place the pot over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the water begins to boil and the cucumbers turn yellowish.

    Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely. You may place it in the fridge before serving.

    Serve the pickled cucumber cold as a side dish.
