    "Add 2 cups of soaked and drained chickpeas and 1 cup of soaked and drained crushed fava beans. If crushed fava beans are not available, you can use an additional cup of chickpeas instead.

    We put the onion, green onions, cilantro, parsley, hot pepper, and garlic into the food processor and blend them until the mixture is smooth and homogeneous.

    We add the spices (cumin, coriander, salt, sumac, and sesame) before frying. Ten minutes before frying, we mix half a tablespoon of baking powder into two cups of dough. Then we shape the dough and fry it in hot oil over medium heat.
