Ingredients

  • 0.75CupEgyptian rice
  • 1.175CupMilk
  • 1CupSugar
  • 1Teaspoons (tsp)Vanilla
  • 1CupLabani cream
  • 3Tablespoons (tbsp)Starch
  • 2Cupwater

Steps

    Wash the rice and place it in a pot with two cups of water until fully absorbed.

    Add the milk, sugar, and vanilla, then stir until well combined.

    Add the heavy cream or whipping cream and continue stirring.

    Dissolve the cornstarch in ¼ cup of milk and add it to the mixture over medium heat.

    Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and the rice expands.

    Pour the rice pudding into serving bowls or clay pots.

    Place the clay pots under the broiler to get a golden top.

    Garnish the top with pistachios, Nutella, Lotus spread, raisins, or coconut as desired.
