Ingredients

Wash the strawberries and remove the green part

Place the strawberries in a pot

Add the sugar, and stir until all the berries are fully coated. Then add the lemon juice

Cover the pot and let the mixture sit for 6 hours or overnight.

After soaking, place the pot on high heat until the mixture starts boiling

When a white foam layer appears on top, skim it off with a spoon.

Once the foam is removed, lower the heat to medium and let it boil for about 30 minutes, or until the jam thickens.

Test the consistency by taking a small amount on a spoon. Run your finger through the middle — if the line stays clear and the jam doesn’t flow back, it’s ready

If it’s still runny, continue cooking.

When the jam is set, remove the pot from heat and allow it to cool completely.

Pour the jam into clean, sterilized, and dry glass jars, then store it in the fridge.

Jar sterilization method: Boil the jar in water for 3-4 minutes, then dry thoroughly before use.
