  • 1.5Cupwater
  • 0.5Tablespoons (tbsp)White Vinegar

    Wash the turnips and slice them into medium-thick pieces.

    Add 2 tbsp of rock salt to the turnips, mix, and let sit for 2 hours.

    Discard the water that was released from the turnips.

    Layer the turnips and beet slices in the pickling jar.

    Add 4 tbsp rock salt and 1 cup vinegar to the measured water and stir.

    Pour the prepared brine over the layered turnips and beets.

    Seal the jar tightly and leave for at least 10 days.
