Soak the dried figs in warm water for 30 minutes until soft and spongy.

Place three-quarters of the figs and half of the soaking water in a blender and blend until smooth like a paste.

Add the remaining figs and blend briefly to keep small chunks.

In a stand mixer, beat the eggs with brown sugar until well combined.

Gradually add the oil to the egg-sugar mixture while mixing until the color becomes light.

In another bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, and salt.

Gradually add half of the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until thick.

Add the fig paste and fold with a spatula.

Add the remaining dry mixture and mix gently until you reach the desired consistency.

Grease the baking pan with oil and pour the batter evenly inside.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C — first 20 minutes with bottom heat only, then switch to top and bottom heat until fully baked (total baking time 45–55 minutes).

While the cake bakes, prepare the topping by mixing cream cheese, qaimar, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
