Ingredients
- 200Grams (g) Butter
- 8ClovesMinced garlic
- 1CupMinced parsley
- 1PinchSalt
- 500CupFlour
- 1Grams (g) Dry yeast
- 6CupSugar
- 300CupCold Milk
- 100Grams (g) Cold butter
Steps
- 1
First, prepare the seasoned butter by mixing the softened butter with the crushed garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until you get a smooth and evenly distributed mixture.
- 2
To prepare the dough: In a stand mixer bowl, we add the flour, yeast, sugar, and milk. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- 3
Add a teaspoon of salt and knead for an additional minute.
- 4
Cut the cold butter into small cubes, and gradually add them to the dough while kneading.
- 5
Continue kneading for 10 to 15 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and cohesive.
- 6
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size — around 1 hour (depending on room temperature).
- 7
Once risen, punch down the dough gently and roll it out on a floured surface.
- 8
Spread the herbed butter evenly over the dough.
- 9
Fold the dough in half, then cut it into long, thin strips.
- 10
Twist or fold each strip decoratively (like braids or spirals).
- 11
Arrange the shaped pieces in a baking tray lined with parchment paper. You may place a small bowl in the center if you’d like to add a dip later.
- 12
Let the shaped dough rise again in the tray for about 20–30 minutes.
- 13
Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (338°F) using top and bottom heat with turbo (fan) setting if available, for 20–25 minutes or until golden and fully baked.
