Date Oat Cake
Ingredients

- 1Psc.Pitted dates
- 1.5CupHot Milk
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Baking soda
- 1Tablespoons (tbsp)White Vinegar

Soak the chopped, pitted dates in 1½ cups hot milk with 1 teaspoon baking soda, then allow the mixture to cool completely.

Beat the eggs with 1 tablespoon vinegar, vanilla extract, and applesauce in a large bowl until well combined.

Once the date mixture has cooled, add it to the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.

In a separate bowl, mix oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, then gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

Line a baking pan with parchment paper, pour the batter into the pan, and spread it evenly.

Decorate the top of the batter with chopped walnuts, extra dates, and a sprinkle of oats if desired.

Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and bake the cake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
