الفول الشامي
Ingredients
- 2Tablespoons (tbsp)Cooked fava Beans
- 2ClovesMinced garlic
- 1Psc.lemon
- 3CupOlive oil
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Cumin
- 1PinchSalt
- 1Grams (g) Hot chilli
- 2Psc.Tomato
- 1CupMinced parsley
- 2Tablespoons (tbsp)Tahini
- 1PinchHot chilli powder
- 0.5Psc.Green pepper

We heat the fava beans in a small pot over low heat with a bit of their cooking liquid until they’re fully softened.

In a mortar or small bowl, we mash the garlic with a pinch of salt until smooth.

We add the lemon juice and olive oil to the garlic and mix well until the flavors are combined.

We pour the garlic-lemon-oil mixture over the warm fava beans and stir thoroughly to combine.

We add the chili pepper, sweet bell pepper, chopped tomato, and cumin, then gently mix everything together.

(Optional) If we wish to include tahini, we add it at this stage and mix until fully blended.

We add the chopped parsley and either stir it in or reserve it for garnish.

We garnish the top with finely chopped tomato and a sprinkle of chili flakes if desired.

We serve the foul warm with fresh Arabic bread.
