We wash the cherries thoroughly, then remove the pits using a straw or a pitting tool.

We place the cherries in a small bowl, add two tablespoons of flour, and toss them well to coat. This helps prevent the cherries from sinking to the bottom of the cake.

In a large bowl, we whisk the eggs with vanilla, vinegar, and sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy.

We add the vegetable oil and yogurt to the mixture, and whisk again until smooth and well combined.

Sift two and a half cups of flour

We gradually add the sifted flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt, stirring until we get a thick, smooth batter.
