Ingredients

  • 400Psc.Qamar Al-Din
  • 4CupBoiling Water
  • 3Tablespoons (tbsp)Starch
  • 3CupSugar
  • 1PacketCrème Chantilly Powder
  • 0.25CupShredded coconut
  • 0.25CupRaisin
  • 1CupNuts

Steps

  1. 1

We cut the Qamar Al-Din sheet into small pieces using scissors.

  2. 2

We place the pieces in a bowl and add four cups of boiling water.

  3. 3

We leave the Qamar Al-Din to soak in the hot water for at least one hour until completely softened.

  4. 4

After soaking, we transfer the mixture to a blender.

  5. 5

We add three tablespoons of cornstarch, three tablespoons of sugar, and one tablespoon of whipped cream powder.

  6. 6

We blend the mixture thoroughly until it becomes completely smooth.

  7. 7

We strain the blended mixture using a fine sieve to remove any lumps.

  8. 8

We pour the strained mixture into a pot and place it over medium heat.

  9. 9

We stir continuously using a hand whisk until the mixture thickens.

  10. 10

To check consistency, we run a finger across the back of a spoon; if the line stays, it’s ready.

  11. 11

We pour the hot Qamar Al-Din pudding immediately into serving glasses or bowls.

  12. 12

If desired, we garnish the top with coconut, raisins, or nuts.

  13. 13

We place the glasses in the refrigerator for at least one hour to chill and set.

  14. 14

We serve Qamar Al-Din cold — delicious and perfect, especially during Ramadan.
