- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Cardamom powder
- 1Teaspoons (tsp)Dried Thymus

We place the yogurt, black treacle, hot sauce, lemon juice, mustard, minced garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, paprika, garlic powder, thyme, ground cardamom, olive oil, and vinegar in a bowl.

We mix all the ingredients well until combined.

We open the chicken from the back and cut it into two halves.

We make small slits in the chicken to help the marinade penetrate.

We coat the chicken thoroughly with the marinade, under the skin and outside.

We wrap half of the chicken in parchment paper, then in foil, sealing it tightly.

We place this half in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

We place the other half of the chicken in a baking dish uncovered and bake it in the oven at the same temperature and time.

We baste the uncovered chicken with its own juices during cooking, repeating this step two or three times.

After cooking time ends, we remove the wrapped chicken and unwrap it.

We brush the chicken with its cooking juices, then place it under the broiler until golden.
