Ingredients

  • 0.5Teaspoons (tsp)Carbonate
  • 0.5Kilograms (kg)Beef cubes
  • 4Tablespoons (tbsp)Tomato paste
  • 2Liters (L)Tomato juice
  • 6Psc.Minced garlic cloves
  • 2Teaspoons (tsp)Ground Coriander
  • 1CupOlive oil
  • 1Psc.Onion
  • 2Psc.Bay Leaf
  • 1PinchSalt

Steps

    We soak the beans in water with baking soda overnight.

    We rinse the beans from the soaking water, add fresh water, and boil them until they are tender, or we can place them in a pressure cooker for 20 minutes.

    We sauté the meat with oil, mixed spices, bay leaves, and salt until the meat is nicely browned.

    Add water and an onion, and let it simmer on low heat until cooked.

    In a pot over heat, sauté the garlic in olive oil with dried coriander for half a minute, then add the tomato paste and stir for two minutes.

    Add the tomato juice, a pinch of sugar, and a pinch of salt. Then add a cup of meat broth.

    Add the beans and the boiled meat, let them come to a boil, and adjust the salt.
