    We wash the grapes thoroughly, cluster by cluster.

    We place the grapes in a pot of hot water just before boiling.

    We let the grapes boil until their color changes and they become very soft.

    We remove the grapes from the water and drain them in a colander over a pot after cooling slightly.

    We squeeze the grapes well by hand to extract all the juice.

    We boil the juice for 10 minutes only if sunlight is weak.

    We pour the juice into trays and place them under direct sunlight.

    We stir the juice three times daily (morning, noon, and evening).

    We combine the contents when the molasses thickens and reduces in volume.

    We add salt and stir the molasses once it reaches the desired consistency.

    We leave it overnight then store it in glass jars.
